Astra was born in Croatia on farm of Anna and Gordan Šebalj, where she was raised between various home and farm animals. Her beautiful mother Cakir is coming from turkish breeding of Mr. Bilal Caglar, after male Kara It, the legend between Turkish Kangals. Kara It has engendered many of excellent working dogs and valuable wolf killers. Kara It father’s repuatation (male called Koca It) coming from Mezgili area is stretching way long time ago, between elder Turks, the animals from this part of Turkey have always been incredibly good at killing wolves. From the side of Kara It’s mother is probably not neccessary to introduce any ancestors, all of them are carrying the Panther bloodline, which was always delivering amazing character and exterior attributes to the breed.
Little Astra as we familiary used to call her was the leading bitch of our pack, and she rightfuly earned this position. Like Luna, Astra was very quick learning, really incorruptable guardian, excellent shepherd dog and our "little sun". She protected all members of her pack before any danger as well as pubescent ideas of her „colleague“ Mohikan. Her toughness in fight became fatal. As she was fighting with Reyhan for leadership for long time under the glowing sun we think, she left us after short fight with consequences of overheating. Even that Astra didn’t have any injury, total exhaustion and July sun made it’s own... We will miss you forever our Dear and never forget you! |
